According to South Korean media reports, Hynix Semiconductor said today that it will establish a joint-venture semiconductor post-processing plant in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China with Wuxi Industry Development Group Co., Ltd.

　　 In order to expand the liquidity of funds and improve the financial structure, Hynix sold the local Chinese factory and some domestic post-processing plants to the joint venture for US$300 million (approximately 2.04 billion yuan).

Hynix Semiconductor plans to expand the proportion of post-processing outsourcing, which currently accounts for about 30%, to 50%, and save more than 2 trillion won (approximately 10 billion yuan) in investment costs in the next five years, focusing on the core departments— —Basic processing and research and development work.

　　 Hynix Semiconductor, which established a production legal person in China in 2005, has established a post-processing plant in Wuxi and has a complete production line from basic processing to post-processing in China. Therefore, it is expected to improve cost competitiveness by saving production and logistics costs.

At the same time, it plans to send special personnel to operate equipment and carry out training to improve the competitiveness of the joint venture to develop it into a specialized post-processing plant.
